The Presidential Service Badge Foundation is proud to announce that we received 22 scholarship submissions for our First Annual Scholarship Program.
For an inaugural initiative, this milestone represents far more than a number. It reflects the commitment, ambition, and determination of students and families who choose to invest time in their future and participate in an opportunity designed to encourage education, leadership, service, and personal growth.
To every applicant who gathered the required materials, completed the application process, and thoughtfully prepared a submission, we extend our sincere gratitude. Your willingness to participate demonstrates initiative, discipline, and a commitment to personal development, qualities that will continue to serve you well long after this scholarship cycle concludes.
A Simple Question With Powerful Answers
This year's essay challenge centered around a simple yet meaningful question:
"What is your ambition?"
The responses we received were inspiring, thoughtful, and remarkably diverse.
Applicants shared aspirations of serving their communities, advancing their education, supporting their families, pursuing meaningful careers, and making a positive impact on the world around them.
Some wrote about leadership.
Some wrote about service.
Others wrote about overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities where few existed before.
Yet despite their differences, every essay shared one common thread: a personal vision for the future.
Each applicant demonstrated the courage to articulate where they hope to go and who they hope to become.
Three Scholarship Recipients Will Be Selected
As part of the Foundation's inaugural scholarship program, three awards will be presented:
First Place Scholarship Recipient
Second Place Scholarship Recipient
Third Place Scholarship Recipient
While only three scholarships can be awarded this year, every applicant should take pride in having completed the process and invested in their future.
Participation itself reflects a willingness to pursue opportunity, take initiative, and challenge oneself, qualities that often contribute to long-term success.
A Commitment to Fairness, Accountability, and Transparency
The review process is now officially underway.
Each submission will undergo a comprehensive evaluation process designed to ensure fairness, accountability, and consistency throughout the selection period.
Applications are being independently reviewed by multiple members of the Foundation's leadership and review team using a structured scoring system based upon established scholarship criteria.
The purpose of this process is not simply to select recipients. It is to ensure that every applicant receives thoughtful consideration and a fair evaluation.
Making these decisions is not easy.
When many applicants submit strong and compelling essays, the differences between scores can be remarkably small. In some cases, distinctions may come down to details such as presentation, clarity, completeness, supporting materials, or how effectively an applicant communicated their ambitions and future goals.
For this reason, the Foundation has implemented a rigorous review process that emphasizes transparency, consistency, and accountability at every stage.
You Are Already Ahead Because You Applied
While only three recipients will ultimately be selected, there is something every applicant should remember:
You are already ahead because you showed up.
You completed the application.
You followed the requirements.
You met the deadline.
You reflected on your ambitions.
You invested time in your future.
Those actions matter.
The reality of competitive opportunities is that difficult decisions must sometimes be made. When many applicants are highly qualified, selecting only a few recipients can be one of the most challenging aspects of the process.
That is not a reflection of anyone's worth, intelligence, potential, or future success.
It is simply the reality of limited opportunities and competitive selection.
Learning how to navigate competition, meet deadlines, follow instructions, communicate effectively, and present yourself professionally are valuable life skills that extend far beyond any scholarship application.

If your name is not among this year's recipients, we encourage you to keep moving forward.

Remember:
No does not always mean never. Sometimes it simply means next.
The resilience developed through experiences like this often becomes one of the greatest assets a person carries into future opportunities.

Scholarship Notification Information
All applicants will receive notification regarding the status of their submission.
We kindly ask for patience while the review process is completed. Notifications and scholarship recipient announcements are expected to be released on or about July 16, 2026.
As our nation celebrates the 250th Anniversary of the United States, we encourage applicants to revisit what they wrote about.
Reflect on your ambitions.
Reflect on your goals.
Reflect on the future you envision for yourself.
Hold onto that vision.
Embrace it.

Whether selected this year or not, your ambition remains yours to pursue.

Scholarship Review Process Disclosure
The Presidential Service Badge Foundation is committed to maintaining a fair, objective, and accountable review process. Scholarship applications are evaluated using established criteria and reviewed by multiple members of the Foundation's leadership and review team.
Final scholarship decisions are based upon cumulative scoring, application completeness, essay quality, supporting documentation, and adherence to program requirements. All decisions rendered by the Foundation are final.
